My wisdom teeth are pushing through and i’ve been taking ibuprofen for the pain, but i can’t get then taken out for a while…

How long does it usually take for the Wisdom teeth to break through the Skin?

I’ve heard and read about age ranges running the gamut from early teens to mid 30’s. Most likely it will be in your late teens to your mid 20’s but it can often happen in other ends of the spectrum. Mine broke the surface in my late teens.

I suggest asking your dentist. If you have not had a dentist tell you they are coming in just fine, I suggest asking him if they need to be removed.

Do not turn down removal if the dentist recommends it (unless you don’t care about your teeth looking like you abused meth for years on end). It is more scary than painful. In my experience it took 10 minutes to remove all 4 and I literally couldn’t feel a thing.

  1. Mine took a long, long time. And even when they came in they were painful. My whole mouth hurt until I had them removed about a year later.
